Our Top 10 Favorite Travel Destinations
September 30th, 2016 by admin
There are so many places in the world that are worth visiting that it was hard to narrow it down to just ten of our favorite travel destinations. We’ll probably have to create a second – or third or fifteenth – list of go-to travel destinations at some point here on the blog!
Until then, without further ado, here are our current favorite destinations:
1. Aspen, Colorado
Named during the Colorado Silver Boom for the abundance of aspen trees in the area, Aspen, Colorado, was one of the first destinations we chose to go to when we started FabFitTravel.
Situated in a remote area of the Rocky Mountains’ Sawatch Range and the Elk Mountains, along the Roaring Fork River, you couldn’t ask for more beautiful scenery. No wonder people like Hunter S. Thompson and John Denver could never get enough of this place!
2. Malibu, California
See the picture at the top of this post? That’s Malibu. Need we say more?
Malibu is a beach town like no other! Hollywood stars and top athletes escape to the gorgeous beaches with front-row seats of surfers and unforgettable sunsets.
We’re currently booking trips to Malibu in the Destinations section of our website. Don’t miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure!
3. Tulum, Mexico
This location is the site of a pre-Columbian Mayan walled city serving as a major port for Cobá. This was one of the last cities built and inhabited by the Maya, and just oozes adventure.
Whether you have an interest in history, archeology, or simply love beautiful scenery: Tulum is a place you’ve gotta visit! In fact, it’s one of our favorite FabFitTravel destinations.
4. Florence, Italy
Oh, Italy… It was so hard to choose just one destination to go to in Italy – there are so many great places to visit there! In the end, the FabFitTravel ladies decided to go with the city Sandra Bullock’s character favored in While You Were Sleeping: Florence!
Considered the birthplace of the Renaissance, there are few places more romantic than the city of Florence. When you go to Florence, you’ll be surrounded by art, architecture, and fashion!
5. Paris, France
Paris gives Florence a run for its money in the “romance” department! In fact, when polled, most people would describe Paris as the most romantic city in the world. Which makes it a “must” on any travel-goers bucket list.
6. Great Barrier Reef, Australia
Located in the Coral Sea, off the coast of Queensland, Australia, the Great Barrier Reef is the largest coral reef system in the world. It’s the world’s largest single structure made by living organisms! It’s awe-inspiring to behold.
Thirty species of whales, dolphins, and porpoises have been recorded in the Great Barrier Reef – along with over 1,500 breeds of fish! If you’ve got an interest in marine life, this is the destination for you.
7. Tokyo, Japan
The capital city of Japan, Tokyo is a metropolitan paradise. Tokyo’s urban landscape consists mainly of modern and contemporary architecture. If you’re more of a “city” girl – and beaches and wilderness aren’t your things – then Tokyo might just be the place for you. As well as having a rich historical and cultural background, this metropolis has a lot to offer shoppers and sight-seers alike!
8. London, England
Who here doesn’t swoon over British accents? Oof! So yummy. And if you go to London: you’ll be surrounded by them! 😉
Home of Big Ben, the London Eye, and the famous London skyline, London is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Rich with history and a mild oceanic climate, London is a great place to relax and live life to its fullest.
9. Yellowstone, Wyoming
Yellowstone National Park is located primarily in the state of Wyoming, although it also extends into Montana and Idaho.
Hundreds of species of mammals, birds, fish, and reptiles (including several that are either endangered or threatened) reside in Yellowstone. The vast forests and grasslands also include hundreds of unique species of plants. This destination is a nature lover’s dream come true!
10. Grand Canyon, Arizona
277 miles long and 18 miles wide, this steep-sided canyon was carved out by the Colorado River over nearly two-billion years… So much of the earth’s history has been exposed, just on this single site. It’s hard not to have a near-spiritual experience when you run your hand along the rocks.
One of the world’s best hikes, you’d be hard-pressed to find better scenery. The sunsets are absolutely to die for. Helicopter tours and rafting are also popular activities.
