10 Items to Add to Your Luxury Bucket List

We all have bucket lists. Even if we don’t physically write them down, we all have things that we want to do before we die.
However, here at FabFitTravel, we want to remind you that at least some of the items on your list should be about spoiling yourself.
Yep. We want you to add a few “luxury” items to your bucket list – guilt-free!
1. Go on an Adventure
Whether you choose to travel near or far, go on an adventure! Take time off to go on a trip you’ll remember for the rest of your life. You won’t regret it.
2. Get a Massage
There’s a reason we include massages with our destination vacations: they’re kinda the best thing ever.
Not only are massages totally decadent “you” time, studies have shown that massages help relieve or help with:
- Digestive disorders
- Insomnia related to stress
- Myofascial pain syndrome
- Soft tissue strains or injuries
- Sports injuries
- Temporomandibular joint pain
3. Get a Fish Pedicure
A fish pedicure is like a normal pedicure – it makes your feet softer and smoother – with the added addition of fish! You dunk your tootsies into a tank filled with toothless fish who nibble away your dead skin cells. It’s a lot of fun and gives you a great story to tell your friends.
Just make sure you don’t have any open cuts or abrasions before you get your pedicure as you could be exposing yourself to infection-causing bacteria. Most of the time fish pedicures are safe, but there have been a few instances of illness among those who have had really cracked/bleeding feet who have attempted this treatment. Use common sense.
4. Have a Professional Photo Shoot
You’re gorgeous! Why not show yourself off?
Hire a professional photographer, get gussied up, and make love to that camera. Be a celebrity for a day, and then show off the photos to your friends and family!
Bonus: if you own your own business, professionally-done photos make fantastic “about page” photos for your website.
5. Buy Something “Designer”
Whether it’s a dress, a handbag, or a really fab pair of shoes – have something “designer” in your closet. You have our permission to splurge on that item you’ve always dreamed of owning.
6. Sleep in a Deluxe Setting
Spend the night in a castle! Or shell out the cash for the penthouse suite at the hotel you’re staying at. Spend one night (or more, if you can afford to!) in the most deluxe setting you can possibly imagine.
7. Fly in a Private Jet or Charter a Yacht
Whether you prefer the air or the sea, choose transportation that makes you feel like a queen.
8. Hire a Housekeeper
Even if it’s just for the day, treat yourself to a clean house. If possible, do this right before or right after you go on an adventure (see #1) so that your house is absolutely fabulous when you return home.
9. Eat at a Michelin 3-star Restaurant
We love us some good food here at FabFitTravel, and Michelin 3-star restaurants are known for excellence.
The prices might be astronomical, but it’s worth it for the gastronomical experience.
10. Help Someone Else Have a “Luxurious” Day
The only thing better than spoiling yourself is helping to spoil someone else. Pay for the person behind you in line at the grocery store or the movie theater. Take a friend with you when you get that massage or pedicure. Or make a sizeable donation to a charity that means something to you.
