9 Great Places to Shop for Women’s Workout Attire

November 7th, 2016 by admin

You’ve written out your workout itinerary, you’ve created your ultimate workout playlist, but you haven’t got a thing to wear!

We’ve been there. Finding women’s workout clothes can be a real pain sometimes, especially when you don’t know where to start looking.

Here are ten of our favorite places to buy workout clothes, in no particular order:

1. Gaiam

This is likely the most expensive option on the list; however, we love Gaiam because they feature a lot of 100% cotton options. They’re also primarily focused on yoga gear, which can be difficult to come across in mainstream stores.

They do offer plus sizes for some of their attire, so check out their measuring chart and see if they have something that fits you.

More importantly, this place is a one-stop shopping extravaganza when it comes to yoga supplies. So you can gear up on exercise balls, yoga mats, blocks, and anything else you need while you’re there.

2. Adore Me

Adore Me is primarily a lingerie store; however, they recently started carrying fitness attire as well. This place is the place to go if you have a large or “unusual” chest size. Their chest sizes go all the way up to 46I, with everything in-between.

The plus size options at Adore Me are phenomenal and you’re sure to find something that fits.

Most options come in bra/top plus shorts/pants sets and will set you back $40-$60. Which makes this another slightly pricier option; however, if your “girls” tend to get in the way of a good fit, this is definitely the option to go for.

3. Old Navy

Old Navy is a great option for cheap workout clothes. They don’t have a huge selection, but they do offer a fairly wide range of sizes – so plus size ladies should be able to find something that works.

The cheapest item we found was $15 and the most expensive was $50.

4. Target

Target can be a little overwhelming because they offer a lot of options. And, yes, they do offer plus sized options for larger ladies.

It’ll take you a bit more searching to find what you want, but you can snag some really great deals. The lowest priced item we came across was $6 and the highest was $40.

5. Ross/T.J. Maxx/Marshalls

This is one where you’ll actually have to go to the store as they don’t let you order online (boo!), but you have the chance to find something really good for really cheap, provided they have what you’re looking for in stock.

One of our ladies walked away with a workout set for $4!

6. Victoria’s Secret

Victoria’s Secret has had their finger on the pulse of workout attire for a while now. They’ve become known for having some of the cutest sets you can get your hands on. Unfortunately, their largest size is XL (or DDD), so these fashion-forward outfits are restricted to the smaller among us.

Shopping at VS will set you back $20-$100.

7. J.C. Penney

J.C. Penney has recently taken their merchandise to new levels when it comes to being plus size friendly, and that includes activewear.

Shopping here will set you back $7-$30.

8. Athleta

Athleta is normally pretty expensive, but their clearance section (linked) is cheap. You can some away with something pretty nifty for $15-$40.

Plus sizes sometimes show up in the discount section, but you’ll have to check for yourself.

9. Amazon

You can buy pretty much anything on Amazon, and that includes workout attire. It can be a bit overwhelming when you have so many choices; however, if you know exactly what you’re looking for, this can be a lifesaver when it comes to shopping online.
